Are we now upset that Kaaya is gone? I'm having trouble keeping track. Yesterday we were upset because we never should have signed him in the first place.

I thought the consensus was that Kaaya wasn't that good, we liked Gilbert more and with the string of injured QBs we wanted to be able to keep Gilbert. Also, its bottom of the roster churn so...meh, bye Felicia!

I'm on record saying I was looking forward to seeing him in camp next year. 

 

Hopefully the next GM has an eye for late round QBs to replace DA.

Hopefully the next Gm is not the interim GM cuz that guy definitely doesn't.

I've decided to have a more positive outlook and just assume Hurney is not the next full time GM as that would be beyond dumb.

He is a decent prospect that would have been safely stowed away on the PS all season as I said in that post. Moving him up to the regular roster was a silly move. It cost the Panthers a QB they wanted to keep around for next season.

I know how either one of these dudes looked in practice or what his work ethics are like but i know for a fact Kaaya is more talented that Gilbert. that alone should have been enough to keep him around

We don't know if If a team offered Gilbert a roster spot and we promoted him to the 53 to prevent that from happening.

This tells me two things 1) they value GG more than Kaaya and 2) the team was right about other teams searching for QBs.
