Anyone wish we had Fournette instead of CMC

I just don't understand the point of these threads. We've got who we got. Panthro said why we didn't get him. He didn't drop. We couldn't move up high enough.

I mean what do you hope you accomplish by rehashing all this crap. Is there some power in being able to say "I told you  so!"? Move on.

They make these threads pretty much every week so they can keep reminding us that they didn't like the pick. They're fooling themselves if they think anyone else could do any better with our run blocking right now. That's the part they don't get

Jags make him look good cause 1.) their QB sucks 2.) blake 3.) bortles.

I’m not sure I follow this logic...if the opposing QB sucks, doesn’t that mean Fournette is likely running against stacked fronts? 8-9 men in the box? That is even more impressive that he’s finding this much success.

Obviously he’s going to get a lot of carries because of his lack of good QB play, but that doesn’t necessarily translate into a successful running game if the opposing team isn’t worried about the pass (such as Gurley last year). He has a solid YPC average for running against these stacked boxes.

people want a cookie for having the rare skill of being able to identify a player who turned out to be good 6 months after the draft and 6 games into the regular season.  ultimately the question being implied is this: would i or anyone else like to have had what turned out to be the best possible player left on the board at every pick in the draft?  yeah no poo.

if kareem hunt or tarik cohen came up on this board even a combined twelve times before the draft i missed it.

I wanted Fournette. He wasn't available. So no point debating who we'd rather have.

Kareem Hunt though...

If I (or anyone else here, truth be told) had one chance to predict the future accurately, I'd use that on a 400 million dollar lottery prize and not a second round draft pick.

I don't see him getting hit as soon as he received the hand off so this is fugin pointless... Like the rest of your posts

He's got a point, the Cards don't have a good O-Line, and the knock on the Jags were they didn't have a good O-Line.  Now look...............while, supposedly, we have a good O-Line.

I only wish we had Fournette because Shula isn't capable of using CMC correct.   He's not going to run behind his line like a normal back without better blocking.   With this team, we need to use him on the outside and screens/passes (which we've done a good bit of).   But running CMC up the gut is a waste of a play, if Stewart can't even get through being a bruiser, what do we expect CMC to do?   So yes, I wish we had Fournette only BECAUSE he may have a better chance at making holes with this offensive line.      If you give CMC a decent line that makes some holes, he's probably close to the top in rushing leads imo.

But even though they don't have a good o line, he's at least got a chance to get the handoff, move up to the line, and look for a hole. Our guys are getting hit as soon as they get the ball. That's a recipe for disaster
