That doesn't say a lot for Kaaya having "promise".

 

Kaaya has to clear waivers first before we can sign him to the PS and Kaaya was an unknown before we signed him. Now we know he isn't going to be a long term backup option. Webb was a known quantity at his ceiling. There was really no downside to giving Kaaya a shot over Webb. It failed. Who cares? On to the next one.

If you cut someone from the 53 man roster, that means that as a minimum, he is the 54th best player, in which case, you can add him to the PS. But apparently he isn't even held in high enough regard to make the PS, nor is Southward. Give it a rest...

I actually hoped that Hurney did learn something from taking a step back when he was fired.

Now it confirms what I suspected: he uses the earliest draft guide that comes out before the combine to make his draft board. 

It totally explains the Everette Brown and Duke Robinson drafts where they were both on the cover of my early draft guide.  

This Kayaa thing along with Gano/Butker embarrassment means he cannot be trusted with a roster where bold decisions and choices have to be made.

Has anyone been able to determine the point of all these bottom feeder moves?  Or is this just Hurney making moves just to be making them?

I can see him now, sitting back in his office snorting blow off a hookers ass and saying...watch me flip this QB for a draft pick.  Nobody thinks he's worth anything but I just know he's going to be a HOF.  I got this.

Check the NFL transactions page - all teams do this. But for some reason our fan base makes heroes out of the bottom of the roster and loves to criticize everything so we just freak out for no reason. Here's a link - http://www.nfl.com/transactions

Honestly Id rather have him or Garrett backing up Cam instead of DA. 

 

Theres no upside to DA.. yea yeah I know its his job to be a backup QB but its not like he's a genius with the clipboard. 

our roster moves always drive me nuts. We drop skill players but we will keep 4 awful "blocking" tight ends who add nothing or any upside. What worries me even more is say Cam was out an extended period. DA isn't going to last more than a couple of games. Then what? Bring in Jon Kitna? Or have someone on the PS or bench like Kaaya who is young competitive and athletic enough to bring a spark and a somewhat of a future.

If he's signed to the PS, so what! He's not good enough to make the 53 at this point in his career...

Are you related to Marty?  You seem to have a vested interest in defending him.

PS.  I know these moves are common by the way.  The difference here is there doesn't seem to be a rhyme nor reason behind some of these.
