Week 6 Monday Night Thread : Colts vs Titans

Battle of a couple of AFC teams that shouldn't have any direct relevance for us, since we don't play anyone on the AFC South this year and we won't meet any of them unless its in the Super Bowl.

The game is fairly interesting though for a few reasons. Currently, all the teams in the AFC south have 3 losses so the division is wide open and both teams have alot to play for. Mariotta is coming back from an injury for the Titans, meanwhile Luck is still out and who knows when he might be back, based on the lack of information im guessing it might be very late in the season or not at all . The Titans have two Heismann winners at  QB and RB (Mariotta and Henry).

Since this was the first year I followed the draft process so closely , rookies to watch : Adoree Jackson  , Taywan Taylor , Malik Hooker, Marlon Mack. Corey Davis is out with a hamstring.

What an ugly Monday night matchup

yea, im not particularly invested in either teams . I did follow Malik Hooker alot during the draft process , and wanted  us to draft Derrick Henry in 2015 so at least have a passing interest in some of the players

Very impressive run by rookie RB Marlon Mack for the Colts . With all the success these mid to late round RBs are having , it leaves me wondering what we couldve done drafting Barnett, Hooker, or OJ Howard in the 1st  and getting a mid round rb later .

it sereiously depresses me to see other teams olines blasting the defense back  multiple yards before the RB gets to the line of scrimmage. What in the clusterfug happened to our olines run blocking?

This is exactly what I was thinking while watching the 1st half. The Colts O-line is notoriously bad, but Gore and Mack have had some nice run lanes.

    • Film Room Playlist _ NFL Pro — Mozilla Firefox 2024-11-25 10-20-11.mp4 🎯🎯🎯 There were a couple of "fans" yesterday saying that this wasn't a helmet-to-helmet shot... 👀 Looks like based on where Moore was and where the play ended, he'd have gotten maybe just a yard or two more. Chuba was downed at the KC 16 and Moore was on his way back to the QB, so the offense got what they could for the most part. After reviewing the all-22, Bryce made the right call here. Tremble was the hot and KC sent both LBs. He gets it out with a clear pocket but it's quickly collapsing. If there was a little more time it looked like AT came free at the end but whether or not Bryce would've been upright still is another story. Smart move to get the completion and keep the field goal in play to stay alive. George Karlaftis is about to get himself a big ole hug and Bryce heaves it to where David Moore is going. Trent McDuffie slipped just a step or two before this shot, but we can see the clear DPI here as he's wrapped around David Moore before knocking him over as the ball gets there.
    • I’m taking a TE early day 3 Ian Thomas and Tremble are FA.  We should have no desire to bring them back.   There’s more than enough film of ball bouncing off their hands or facemask.
    • Daniel Jones sometimes would sling it for 300 or 400 yards.  That's my stance.  We know what Bryce is.  If you consistently play any QB at this level, they largely are going to end up w/ some good days/games.  last time Mahomes was at BOA, Teddy Bridgwater threw for 300+ yards and a couple TDs and the Matt Rhule Panthers almost took him down.  We know what Bryce is.  Now we got people predictably falling into a predictable trap.
