I have some thoughts after sleeping on it.

1. Hurney has yet to make a move to compromise any future draft picks. He also hasn't done anything to improve the current roster. Maybe he truly is interim and just trying not to be bored?

2. GG doesn't really fit the style of offense the Panthers have been running with Cam, like, at all. He is a dink and dunker with no downfield throwing capability. Unless the plan is to move on from Cam sometime before this contract runs out, then I can only imagine GG is being used as a tutor to Cam, showing him the intricacies of the dink-dunk shtyle.

1) So you don't think Seymour (who is getting more snaps than Worley) and Byrd are moves that have improved the roster?

Sorry, that was me :(

This does leave me with a question, though. Gameday rules always have the third quarterback inactive. I would assume that rule extends to a fourth quarterback as well, though I can't think of an instance of a team actually carrying a fourth quarterback during the regular season prior to this.

Hmm, perhaps converting a QB on the roster to WR?

Prevented us from upgrading the kicker position and having a kicker for the next ten years. Instead we have Gano. Albeit he's been good, but that won't last very long.

1) Butker wasn't an upgrade

2) Gano is #2 in the league in scoring

3) "Won't last very long" is a silly assumption

The Legend of Butker lives on!!!

There won't be any trades made.

Once the teams in need of new QBs have signed them, Garrett will be safely placed back on the PS... where he was absolutely safe to begin with.

In other words, derp.

How do you know he was totally safe?

I have no problem with bringing Gilbert up. Especially with a starting QB who is more susceptible to injuries, it wouldn't hurt to potentially groom a decent young backup. What I do have a huge problem with is not letting DA go. He brings zero upside to any team. The only positive that anyone references when discussing DA is the fact that he beat Tampa Bay twice in 2014. Yet, people conveniently forget that in week 1 that year, DA literally gave the Buccs an easy game winning interception that was horrendously dropped.

4th Quarter.

1:49 to play.

Up by 3.

DA throws this beauty at our own 32 yard line.
