I have seen several years of Colin Jones and nothing really stands out. When was the last time he actually used his speed and made a negative impact play on  punts/kicks

Jones made a couple of standout tackles in the red zone just a few weeks ago while he was subbing for an injured Coleman.

There's something in the wind.

Sorry, that was me :(

This does leave me with a question, though. Gameday rules always have the third quarterback inactive. I would assume that rule extends to a fourth quarterback as well, though I can't think of an instance of a team actually carrying a fourth quarterback during the regular season prior to this.

Better pray Cam is healthy. My guess is 50+ throws took its toll on that shoulder. He may be inactive against the bears which leaves DA as your starter. Have to call up Gilbert because he would be active backup for that game because he knows the playbook better than Kaaya who is only on the active roster to protect him from being signed elsewhere because He's a Hurney man crush

Just my speculation here.

I realy hope it all ends up just being part of the plan to trade 1 of our QB's.... But unfortunately I think this is all about Cam.

Actualy I'm surprised that just a very few in this thread has suggested this. Again - I pray I'm in the wrong here, and we will soon find out, but Cam was noticely grimassing after the pylon flyover.

My first thought was left arm/shoulder/collar bone injury. Then he got up and played, and I tried to convince myself, that he just got the wind blown out, a hip stinger, or something like that... But after that happened, he played awfull and looked like he just wanted this game to be over with quickly. The last throw to CMC to end the game - very rare to see a bad throw like that from Cam...

We all know Cam wants to play no matter how hurt he is - and I think this is what he did. Ron saw it, and maybe it is one of the few lessons he actualy has learned from last year - do not play Cam if he is hurt.

I'm preparing for bad news - like realy bad news coming...Oh boy, I hope I'm wrong on this one...

Most likely, I think this is probably Hurney trying to be clever again while looking like a complete hack. Same as how we carried two kickers for awhile this season then ended up losing Butker anyway. With Rodgers and Winston getting hurt, Hurney probably feared one of them may go after Gilbert.

Hurney making moves to confuse JR. job security.
