Cam can make Walmart WR look good but we had to shop at Tiffany's for a Check Down Option ?

This doesn't make sense to me

Cam makes shitty WR look good.

But he couldn't make a shitty RB look good taking check downs ?

We had to use 8 on a bad RB to take check downs ?

You guys with me?

Cam should have been dumping it down to the check down as much as he has this season prior seasons WITHOUT McCaffrey

Cam is finally using his check downs more. Taking the lay up.

We didn't have to use pick 8 for him to do that. He could have done that with Fozzy or any other average RB

Cause we used pick 8 he feels obliged to start checking it down to him more. He isn't doing anything greater than any other average check down option though

McCaffrey doesn't lead all rookies in receptions and yards.....because he is just a check down option.  Dudes simply can't cover McCaffrey.  He is special and because he isn't producing in the manner people envisioned out of the gate (largely to teams gameplanning the heck out of him to limit him).....they act like he is some JAG.

    • Bryce put it in a spot only his guy could get it only for David Moore to drop it. T_T Tremble and Horn both struggled yesterday and that killed me since they're two of my favourite players. Tommy knows he has to come down with this one. Folks were understandably saying that JT would've caught that had he not gotten hurt a few plays earlier. The more I look at this play, the more I think that Bryce made the right decision throwing it out the back of the endzone. He could have tried to laser it in to Thielen, but that safety is lurking awfully close inside. Insuring the field goal here after a 44sec drive to end the half was the right move.
    • Except Bryce was the main reason we were in it
    • NFL Pro has the All-22 up already 😄 Going to grab a play or two from each redzone series to put screenshots to. Looks like AT angled his route off to the near pylon rather than the back corner where Bryce was throwing to. I imagine this is something they'll quickly try to figure out with Thielen back from IR. After watching the All-22 again, this was actually a pretty nifty play. I thought it was a TE screen to Tremble because of the way XL charged the DB, but he quickly shed and kept upfield as seen in the second screenshot. This looks like it had multiple layers built into it with AT running the crosser, XL the fade, Tremble to the flat. The progression would call for the play to go to Chuba here as the LB does follow Tremble out into the flat. Ball hits Chuba low and in the hands, but the LB does a good job disrupting the catch.
