IMHO it's an organization wide philosophy that frequently manifests itself on Sundays. Just too conservative, a if you have a lead protect it, and no killer instinct. Never show up your opponent, even when the fuggers deserve it.

It shows itself in coaching hires and an unwillingness to move forward even when it's clear change is necessary.

Bottom line the Panthers do not put the talent on the field in the best position to succeed based on their strengths and based on their opponents weaknesses nearly as often as they should.

Play Jstew and cmc together...alt Byrd and Samuel running long on most plays...make the D cover the whole field...

Watch the Cowboys OL. Or any good run blocking OL at any level. You'll see linemen getting off the ball and attacking the defenders and working their feet while punching when they're tight to the guy and extending their arms up and away to leverage the defender out of the spot they're in to create a running lane. This is BASIC OL fundamentals.

Now watch our OL. A lot of half pass blocking, half riding guys left or right. No intensity, no physicality, no driving people out of gaps. Just a lot of weakness.
