What is the Panthers biggest issue, and how do we fix it?

So, What is the Panthers biggest issue, and how do we fix it?

In my opinion it is by far and away the Running game, the Panthers who I fully believe will make the Playoffs this year will have a short stay in the Playoffs unless we can get our running game going, which to this point is not even averaging 3 YPC(Stewart is Averaging 2.9YPC). Our inability to run the ball is a huge part of why we lost to Philly this past week, and chances are if we want a shot at the superbowl this year, we very well may have to face them again.

So how do we fix this?

It may seem a bit simplistic, but honestly I'm very curious to see how the Panthers play with Ryan Kalil back at center and if the running game begins to rebound. Many times it has been mentioned that the center is the second most important position on the Offense behind the QB, and Ryan Kalil when playing is among the best in the NFL. Not a shot against Larsen who has played admirably in Kalil's absence, but there is more to playing center then holding your ground, such as making protection calls, recognizing blitzes and other defensive maneuvers/adjustments and relaying this information to the rest of the Offense including the QB.  And for this Kalil is one of the better Centers in the NFL.

Is Ryan Kalil's return this week just what the doctor ordered?  Or is there something more that you think we could do to aid our ailing running attack?

((waits patiently for the first person to say fire shula) which isnt happening before the offseason so get over it)

rivera is too passive.

shula makes things unnecessarily complicated and is reluctant to change the game plan to fit what we do and don't do well and what the opposing D is doing and not doing well.

used and led correctly, we've got the talent on this team to win every game and should have won every game so far. the problem is that just isn't the case.

You need proper personnel to execute the gameplan

either that or you need to adjust the gameplan based on the personnel you have.

we have who we have. we need to base the gameplan on who we have rather than what we'd like to do if we had the ideal personnel group for the desired gameplan.

it's a poor musician that blames blames his instrument and it's a poor coach that blames his players.

The personnel we have limits the offense & play calling  and when we tried to use them like they are supposed to be (big physical receivers on outside) KB & Funchess they were pretty much eliminated by Philly & NO CBs with no safety help.

The safetys were free to help stop the run!

Not saying that there isnt a point to talent to win every game, but if that was the case the Cowboys would be doing better this year, winning games in the NFL isnt as simple as I have better talent so I will beat you, it's also about game planning.  Which Rivera is better at than a lot of people give him credit for.

I honestly do not expect my team to win every game, 2015 was a rare and marvelous exception to this, I honestly just want my team to go 3-1 every quarter of the season, that's the goal plain and simple, there may be rare exceptions to this, but 3-1 per quarter will give you a bye in the Playoffs 9/10 and I would take that every year if I could. But all I want is a chance and by that I mean make the playoffs.
