Game Day Smoothie

Hey everyone? How are you? I am fine.

It is a Sunday which means football which means game day food.

Before you begin that assault on those chili nachos, have one of these.

Every food you eat today is likely loaded with salt and that isn't great. The potassium in this smoothie this morning will help balance that out. Plus, the fiber will give you a blissful poo tomorrow morning as you rid yourself of 2 pounds of cheese.

.... also, it is friggin tasty as hell, so there is no excuse.

All my love,

JI

That's really similar to the one Cat posted in the lounge. She listed coconut water instead of the milk and I can say this is an excellent smoothie and the first one I ever made at home. Initial jolt of spinach on the first sip which is a bit weird in a drink but then the fruit flavor takes over. Overall, I really enjoyed it and plan on making one as soon the rest of the house wakes up this morning.

Who knew my Ninja blender could be used for more than just frozen margaritas.

Try flax milk, it is by far the creamiest you can use. Teeter has it on sale right now.

Does it work with a rum floater?

No rum, no care.

(Actually, my smoothie is bananas, spinach, strawberries, and blueberries.)

I have four eggs fried in Kerry Gold butter, dinner was a chicken, ham and cheese salad with full fat ranch dressing and dinner will be grilled steaks with sautéed mushrooms and a side of bacon wrapped asparagus. All will have extra salt and extra butter.

BTW , the Framingham study was skewed. Saturated fat intake has little effect on overall CV health. Factors such as genetics, smoking, and sedentary lifestyle play a larger role. Enjoy.

I'm well aware, salt isn't near the concern it's made out to be either. Carbs on the other hand, especially processed carbs...
