Shula and Rivera WTF

Rivera?

Why in the hell didn't you try the 58 yd field goal with 5 seconds to go in the half?  You know there is no way Cam is going to have time to set up and throw 40+ yds to the end zone.  Especially when the only thing you get is the middle of the field.  We pay our kicker to make those FG.  Had your dumb ass let Gano kick the FG we could have manage to get back in FG territory at the end of the game instead of having to score a TD.  If Gano missed the FG it is likely that the ball would go out of the endzone.  Makes no damn sense.   That is twice we have bypassed a FG for absolutely nothing.

Shula?

Early in the game we ran an option play where everyone followed Cam and Stewart and gave the ball to Samuel for a nice 10 or 11 yd pickup.  It was a pretty good play and worked well.  We ran it once.  Never saw it again.  WHY?

Instead we ran it up the gut so many times I felt sick.  Giving downs away.  It was obvious to even a rookie that running up the middle was not going to happen. Yet over and over that is where we ran.

We should have run that play over and over with different options.  It would have slowed that pass rush down.

It amazes me that when a play works Shula puts it away for next week.

Lol at Ron's 'crosswinds'. If any of you  all saw the flags on the uprights, please

we had gusts of winds Thursday night but not sustained winds. It isn't like it was Soldier field. . What difference would it have made to try with 5 seconds left.  Most coaches ask the kicker, and so what if he missed it

ill tell you this, golden rule in football, 'don't lose at home .'

Ron's team is getting good at that and being taunted  by Eagles fans in the stadium, in the streets, in the hotel is not a lot of fun plus paying for the ticket, for gas, for food, for the hotel and the time off for a night game is not a lot of fun

worst of all, see several fairly obese Eagles fans in their Eagles pajamas (no lie) at the breakfast at the hotel was a bit much. Could not believe it when we saw it   Lot of class in those people

ole Ron is comfortable now, he is just glad to be here and given some of the contracts for those guys on the oline, they seem just glad to be there too.

he feels good about being the Third best team in the NFC behind Green Bay and Philly. I got news for him, he is behind several other teams in his own division. Good teams average more tha. Inches per run

I just don't get WTF Ron was thinking on that non FG attempt. "Crosswinds" my fuggin ass. Which is more likely: Cam throwing a hailmary when he barely had 2 seconds to pass that whole drive, or a 58 yarder FG from your top 3 paid kicker that has the leg strength for it? I fuggin hate Ron. Wanted that dude and his staff gone ever since 2013.

Watching the game, I think I remember the sideline reporter talking about that.  Something about Graham going out there and kicking from that distance after halftime was over and making it, as if saying "See"?   Of course, kicking it from that distance in game is a different story than taking a practice shot, but Graham obviously thought he could and wanted to do it.

The field goal call was due to "cross winds" which is hard to digest.  I think it's crazy not to try.  It was a scratch my head moment for sure.

Isn't a professional kicker paid to compensate for things like "crosswinds"?

What I'm getting from Ron is that the main problem with this team is it can't execute Shula's plays consistently.   Maybe he should evaluate whether or not those constantly fuged up plays should be kept in the play book?

What I'm getting from Ron is that he has no clue what the offensive game plan will be week to week, he leaves that to Shula.  He may take an interest in the defensive game plan but mostly let's the d-coordinator do his thing.  So Ron does what exactly?  I mean besides stand on the sidelines looking lost?

I willing to go on record to say that this team will finish dead last in the NFCS.  Every team in the league has these guys number and can out coach them with relative ease.  Talent alone can only mask so much coaching deficiency.
