Bowman Released: Do we look at bowman for insurance on Kuechly?

I'd only consider it if Luke is gonna be put for awhile. Like IR'd. Mayo isn't Luke, but he's a quality player and he knows our D inside and out.

There was a time when we had Beason....and we drafted Luke because we deep down knew Beason’s odds weren’t good. 

We stack other postions.  

But Bowman would want to be the dude I suspect.  

Timing is bad.  Too many unknowns with Luke

A few things... Price? Will he take backup money? Role...? Would he be fine being behind TD, Shaq and Luke once he's back? 

 

Seems like he was released because of issues with the latter, so this just won't happen.

he's a 3-4 LB who isn't a fit for the new 4-3 system that was brought in so....sure why not?

Honestly I thought he looked like he was done when we played them.  Seemed slow and lethargic

Why would he ever come here to just be insurance when he could go somewhere to be the starter? There are multiple very good teams who could use a LB like Bowman. There is probably an 80% chance he ends up in New England.

It was more of are we/should we be interested in him rather than is he interested in us.
