Streaky OC, streaky offense, and streaky QB.  Been that way for a while, and I don't see anything changing.

Last week, Cam hits that throw 10/10, this week...not so much.  Part of it when you have Cam at QB.  He can keep you in a game like last night, and at the very end make you scream WTF...just part of it.

Or maybe because for the coaching staff and some weirdos in this fan base, Cam is some sort of personal jesus. He is HUMAN. He was 80% of the fuging offense. We have a coach who didnt see philly's run defense coming. (?????) so Ron Ron and co were exposed yet again for their inability to adapt/alter/adjust. However simple paths are cluttered with simple minds and Cam is a scapegoat for the intellectually challenged.

Ron is at fault for many things.  Shula is at fault for many things.  Cam is at fault for many things, one of which is missing two open players on the last play of the game.

I'm not here saying the L is on Cam, it absolutely isn't...I'm hanging this on squarely on coaching, and lack of desire.  Cam was out there making chicken salad out of chicken poo, but you can absolutely say that he missed that throw, nothing wrong with that.

As to the streaky comment, it's been that way for Cam his entire career...world beater one week, 53% passer the next...it's just who he is...same as Elway and Favre were.

So we are blaming the offensive coordinator for a play that worked but was just a terrible throw from Cam. Seems about right.

Like saying Seattle's Super Bowl throw on the 1 worked but it was a bad throw from Wilson. Shotgun pass on 4th and 1 is a reckless call no matter the outcome.

A lot of that is true. PERSPECTIVE is whats needed. The streaky narrative imo goes out the window when you ask your QB, whom we were already wondering if his shoulder would hold up, on a short turn around, to be All of you offense. Do you factor in muscle fatigue? No. I know im assuming but I dont think you did. Did you factor in Cam, in some cases being solely and in most, partially responsible for making plays on 65 or so of the 71 total? Yeah it was one or two passes that were off at the end. Unfortunately they were at crucial points in the game, but reality always sets in. Imo he was just spent.

Yeah he should have hit Sheppard or even CMC but I still don't get the play call.  I know we have no time outs but passing when you have one play left to keep the game alive and only need one yard is just interesting to me.  I would have done a QB sneak, then hurried to the line to spike it.  Second down with about 1:10 left needing 50 or so yards for the win.  Plenty of time to work with

After the space jam dive stretch out can you really blame the coaching staff for not running him those last two plays ?

im perfectly fine running him in a playoff game or later games that have a little more at stake, but cams also gotta be able to make these plays also. Bad execution but this lone play didn't cost us the game, the o line getting bulldoze as always in important games, making us one dimensional is what ultimately cost us

So let's say you want to do a pass on this play? And yeah, it's a valid option.

Given that the threat of Newton running the sneak is something a lot of teams worry about, wouldn't it make sense to line him up under center?

That'd lead to the defense focusing on the middle of the field and less coverage on the other guys.

Questionable choice.

Yes, he was averaging 6.5 yards a carry and was spent after that dive. Asking him to lean forward for a yard would have been much kinder than calling for a crucial 4th down completion.
