Agree. At least attempting that 58-yarder at the end of the first half could have potentially lessened Cam's load on that last drive...imagine kicking a game-winning FG to win 29-28 instead of having to drive the field with no timeouts.

BUT that's indirect and has been said before. Nothing has changed since saying this  after the Saints smashed us. Until Shula is fired we have to accept the statement as general and nothing more than a statement to halfway take the blame himself. This is RR's fault because he is still allowing Shula to screw up and also make poor coaching choices himself. There is no reason for Shula to be here if we can't run the ball. After all, did we not drop Chud for the very same reason.

Basically, he said things, but really didn't say anything substantive. JUST ONCE I wish he would say "our playcalling on offense was abysmal. We failed to adjust and help the players out. We will talk about it as coaches and fix it because it is not acceptable". I WANT to believe that Ron thinks that after games like this, but something tells me that is not the case.

EDIT: Rivera also said "you can't beat good teams kicking field goals". He says this with a straight face while he NEVER gambles and tries to convert a 4th down inside of field goal range.

That's a bit strong, considering we're 4-2. Luke went out, Coleman out, and Cam had a really bad game. Eagles seem pretty good this year.

Also, that was a fuggin touchdown and urrrbody knows it.

Here’s the thing with Rivera, when he decides to be a conservative coach, he’s a horrible coach, but when he actually tries to live up to the nickname “Riverboat Ron”, he’s one of the best coaches in the NFL.  He needs to figure that out, and quick.

Stewart had the worst game of his career. Its not all on him because Shula kept calling for a run up the middle and it never worked.  You don't do the same thing if it dosen't work expecting a different outcome.  Also passing to Stewart didn;t work either because that is not Stewart's game.  It put Cam in a position to continue throwing the ball and Philly was ready for it.

fug Ron Rivera. You deserve much worse than bad feelings for keeping the weights around your ankles while swimming on your own accord. You had the chance to take them off and you kept them because you are a coward. You will always be a coward and have no place in Carolina. This should not be a place where such cowardly negligence is tolerated.

You deserve the firing you will get more than anyone I can ever think of based on performance and in game critique. You've had Cam win you games all over and so your overall record isn't as abysmal as your in game presence and retarded stank face you put on during the game.
