The scary thing though is that stats like this show that our win record may be flattering- we have overcome a debilitating stat. We are finding ways to win when maybe we shouldn't. Obviously that's a nice problem to have but it's not a sustainable trend across a season IMO if we are going to be successful.

Coaching combined with general management is what that stat shows. GM don't want to pay and bring ballers in and coaching plays soft coverage

Well the last 4 games we faced Brees, Brady, Stafford, and Wenz. None of them really turn the ball over much and are all good QB's.

Brees :

Year Team G Comp Att % Yds Y/G Y/A 300+ TD Int Rush Yds Y/G Avg TD 100+ Lost
2017 NO 4 105 152 69.1 1135 283.8 7.5 1 8 0 4 3 .8 .8 0 0

Wentz :

Year Team G Comp Att % Yds Y/G Y/A 300+ TD Int Rush Yds Y/G Avg TD 100+ Lost
2017 PHI 5 110 177 62.1 1362 272.4 7.7 3 10 3 26 108 21.6 4.2 0 0 1

Brady :

Year Team G Comp Att % Yds Y/G Y/A 300+ TD Int Rush Yds Y/G Avg TD 100+ Lost
2017 NE 5 133 195 68.2 1702 340.4 8.7 4 11 1 8 22 4.4 2.8 0 0 2

Stafford :

2017 DET 5 111 173 64.2 1116 223.2 6.5 0 9 1 10 53 10.6 5.3 0 0 2

Yes the stats make your point that these 4 QBS are good at protecting the ball. But the point remains. If we want this Carolina team to live up to expectations and get to the playoffs and further we won't be facing DeShone Kizer and Brian Hoyer. So we should expect these good opponents as a trend should we get to the playoffs. We must improve our play against good QBs by both making more turnovers and protecting the ball better against good opponents as well as bad ones. What I'm saying is we can't just say well the other player/team is good. That's not an excuse. We have to improve.

If you want to point a finger I think the OC who thinks a simple iso run will eventually break a elite DT is the person for you. Wilks gave up 14 points and Shula gave up 14 points. Who is not doing there job?

This may be true, but who do you think we'll face if by some miracle we make the playoffs? Probably good QB who doesn't turn the ball over much. If you're a deep January team you beat good QBs who don't turn it over.

We are two and two. I would worry more about the offense.

    • I went on a solo elk hunt in the Flat Tops. It was awesomely miserable. LOL It was a late season hunt, I think third season and it was forecasted to snap off cold with highs in the upper thirties and lows in the single digits. fug it, I'm going anyway. They were wrong. The highs were in the low 20s and the lows were in the negative teens. I shivered so hard the first night I thought my teeth were going to break. It was the only time I've ever been legit concerned that I might be in trouble. Crawled out of my sleeping bag and got a fire started and suffered through the night bundled up next to the fire. I slept the next two nights literally wearing every stitch of clothing I'd brought with Nalgenes full of near boiling water in the bottom of my sleeping bag. That was the only way to have non-frozen water in the morning anyway. There was about a foot of snow on the ground and the melt/freeze crust was almost enough to support your weight but you'd go crashing through just as you went or make your step. It was exhausting travel and every step sounded like a rifle shot. Hunting was basically impossible. I never saw an elk in those four days, only saw 5-6 deer. LOL It was brutal but I loved it. Absolutely beautiful country that is never been to before and haven't been back since. I needed that four day complete break from society fighting for my life against the elements. I'm weird like that.
    • The lack of production is especially surprising given how much effort the team put into coaxing the best from him.  In just six short years he’s had the opportunity to work with 3 different GMs, 7 different head coaches and 10 different starting quarterbacks.  There’s literally no excuse to be made that one of those combos didn’t work.  It might be time to look withIAN.
    • I would say maybe 8 in a tier by themselves and all but 2 where picked in the top of the first allen pat m stroud burrow jackson hurts (maybe) Herbert Stafford
