Short week, how do you feel about this game?

It'll be sloppy football, all Thursday games are regardless of who plays.  That said, Give me Cam on short rest to not turn the ball over and let the defense/run game do their job.  With Lane Johnson out and them having a weak run game, I expect us to pin our ears back and go hard after Wentz from the start.  Wentz will throw 2 picks and we'll take care of business like 27-20

Some rain forecast as well so maybe extra sloppy football. Hope we get the run game going again

I think I'm going to say the same thing I've said pretty much every week so far, because I still think it is true:

This will be the toughest test the team has had up until now and we're going to learn a lot about what this team is made of.

It seems like each of our opponents has gotten tougher than the last without the least bit of let up. It's like we're Scott Pilgrim fighting his way through the girl's ex-boyfriends.

I think this one will be a South Filly street fight early on, but home field advantage and the Carolina grass will slow the Iggles down too much to stick with us. Cam will do well but he might not be the hero of this one, instead I think Pep will play big, monstrously big, on national spotlight TV in front of a home crowd that is cheering as hard for him as ever.

So let's do some math:

As of 2006, Home teams win Thursday night games 62.4% of the time. This is a significant increase in regular home v. Away odds where the Home field advantage yields a 56% win rate.

The Panthers are 2-5 since 06 on Thursday night games (including Thanksgiving) and 2-2 on Thursdays under Rivera. In that same time span, the Eagles are 3-5 on Thursday night games (including Thanksgiving).

The Panther's combined opponent record so far this year is 11-13* and the Eagles combined opponent record is 10-14

*Should be 12-12 but the Lions were screwed out of a victory by refs against the Falcons

The Eagles also have a second year QB coming into a hostile environment on a short week.

So I would say that we have the advantage. But, anything can happen.

Don't overlook Lane Johnson's concussion, that's a big injury for them. Like us losing Gross and going to Bell bad.

They have tons of talent on offense. Might hurt Ernz. Funny though he will be facing his former WR coach.

Eagles played AZ at home but yes they are banged up a bit.

People miss the fact AZ not only was traveling to the east coast but also had not played on grass the whole year. Talk about good timing or bad if you are AZ.
