Run Game

Too predictable, something needs to change or we won't win too many games like today.  Either someone has a major tell or the design just stinks. Maybe less zone and more power runs?

Well, the Lions did come in with the gameplan that they are going to sell out to stop the run and make Cam beat them with his arm. Still, Shula can do better than HB dives up the gut every single time.

They run the ball way too much on first down instead of mixing it up from time to time. Also the Tackles and Larsen aren't that great at run blocking.

Maybe today’s game will alert future DC’s that stacking the box because Cam can’t throw is now null and void...

I’m not concerned. Their entire game plan was to make Cam beat them throwing... which he did.

Seemed like playaction and quick passing game was working on first down, but there seemed to be a decision to shut it down and burn clock halfway through the third...

I would love to see some sweeps with a full-back blocker. Somebody tell me again why we have four halfbacks active on game days.

Don't dare Shula into running into your 11 man front. Sonofabitch will do it....over....and over....and over. And he's that guy who will actually try to brag when it works once out of 100. Shula is the stupid mother fuger who you beat at something all your life and when he gets you that one time he buys himself  a trophy and poo.

J-Stew was indecsive but we need to use the FB to take on defenders so J-Stew can have some room to make a move.

The hybrid draw/read play that Stewart and Cam do is full of tells and fools no one. It hasn't worked in a very long time. It requires Cam to run back to a stationary Stew, put the ball in his hands, pause for just a moment to make it look like Cam might keep it, then Stewart has to secure the ball and take off from a complete stop. It also requires him to make his first step and read to the right side of the formation as Cam moves off to Stewart's left.

Slow play, limits Stewart to the right half of the field most times and is easily stopped by keying on a running play and maintaining your gaps. 

It is the exact opposite of the play-action pass and has exactly the opposite effect on the game. It needs to be tossed out the window.

We always run the first play of the game. Every team knows this and it never works.  Why is Armah no being used ?

We get stalled in the red zone with our run game.  If we are determined to run up the middle, we need a FB blocking for the HB

In our offense, sometimes you run just to make the LB's respect it.  This opens up Funch, Dickson, etc, just beyond the LB's and in front of the safeties.

Every play is not designed to make 10 yds
