Romo carried the team his entire career. Unfortunately for him the rest of the team always sucked so badly that he could only carry them to 8-8 (when they should've been 2-14 without him) but ultimately it's a team sport and wins/playoff wins are irrelevant to him getting into the HoF. Yes, to voters it's relevant but it shouldn't be.

Easily statistically, to say other wise is laughable. 

 

4th all time in QB rating at 97.1, 29th in passing yards. 30 comeback wins, 25 4th quarter wins(15th all time), 6th in career completion %, 5th all time in AYPA. 

 

Leads the cowboys in pretty much every major statistic for QBs as well.

Looking at that I can't see how that gets him close.

29th in Passing yards? 2 playoff wins? That's not HOF worthy at all.

They all won at least one SB. 2 of them have more SB wins than Romo has playoff wins 

 

Even Kerry Collins did better.
