If we can pull of a win in Detroit I'll be very happy with this team. that being said we will have to play our best football so far. I'm interested to see if the can rise to the challenge. What is this team made of?

oh yeah Panthers of course. It has noothing to do with my deep rooted homerism.

Panthers DL gets things going in a big way this week, with 6 sacks.  Offense builds off of last week and looks good again.  Of course we allow the Lions to score a couple late 4th quarter TDs to keep things somewhat close.

Panthers - 34

Lions - 24

I think I'm out of the public predictions game, TBH.  I posted my prediction for the Saints game both here and on Twitter.  And we LOST BADLY.  (I had the score right but the teams reversed.... sigh).

Didn't post any prediction last week, here or anywhere.  We won.

Don't want to mess up that mojo!

Lions and Stafford play better at home than on the road. I will never pick against my Panthers, but I have a feeling this will be another game where we are sweating it out in the 4th quarter. No lead is safe against Matt Stafford, especially in their building.

Panthers 20

Lions 17

If Cam Newton has time in the pocket, he will slice defenses up.

I doubt he has the same amount of time as last week. This D is stout, and I still doubt Shula calling 2 great games in a row. I'm expecting more of a defensive slug-fest. Panthers - 20      Lions - 16

This on paper appears to be a forecasted Shoot-out.  Both teams averaging around 20 points for and 17.5 against.  However, Detriots Defense is way better than the Patriots and our Defense is really really good.  I personally think we match up really well with them vs their offense.  Our DL will terrorize Stafford all game.  Golden Tate is the only real WR that i have concerns with his agility and shiftiness.

I think this isn't going to be the shootout people expect and comes down to a defensive battle early and with us pulling ahead late.

I'll say 21-17.

From a different thread, but I am sticking by it:

This one is going to be tough. The Lions are playing opportunistic football, creating turnovers and more importantly, they have an offense that can make those turnovers become points.

Luckily, we have the best checkdown receiver Cam's ever had, which should help keep the INTs down. Stafford's got decent receivers and a good arm, though, so our secondary will be in for a very long day unless our D-line puts on their best show so far.

I'm calling it 20 -24 Panthers with a late touchdown pass in the fourth to take the lead. Defense will have to hold the fort against Detroit's two-minute drill and we'll come away glad we brought Peppers back.
