Or we could just get a run game that is good enough to be successful without Cam.

Or a screen game with Samuel and McCaffrey.

Or, you could, you know, stick to the subject. Which is, Cam's has more fun, and his game seems to reach higher levels, when he is INVOLVED in the run game.

I really hate how much people try to downgrade Cam’s abilities as a passer.

Except, we are not talking about his passing abilities per se. We are talking about how much better he seems to play, when he gets INVOLVED in the run game. I hate when folks move the goalposts, trying to make fun of something.

Pats have allowed over 400 yards in each game so far this season.  Let’s not get ahead of ourselves with this elite stuff.

Hey, if you want to downplay how well Cam is playing, have at it. But please don't try and tell me, or others for that matter, what level of excitement is acceptable.

Especially since you have checked out. Railing at folks from the parking lot. lol

Yes, actually. I just fail to fall for this team being much of anything outside of average. We have been let down more often than not and I’m not convinced this season will be any different.  We beat the one of, it not the worst defenses in the league.  I’m not impressed. The Falcons will wear the ass out of this team and we won’t have a cake walk with the Bucs and we all know the saints give us fits.

You don't get to say "we"

Cam needs to run but its how we let him run is the key.

Less designed runs.  Short 3rd and 1's etc are fine. Just to get the first down.

Need to be thought of more of a scrambler vs runner.  When the play breaks down, no one is open and pocket collapsing, use your legs! 4-6 run is better than a -6 yard sack.

And most importantly, Slide Slide Slide.  You dont have to be a hero throwing your body if its not on the goal line or 4th down and short. When you take off, after you cut through the hole and get your handful of yards, get down big fella!  Dont risk taking those shots.  We saw it last year,  get past the line of scrimmage, officals say its fair game to hit you where ever, preserve your body.

Cam's not the best scrambler...he's good, but not his best attribute.

At the end of the day, Cam seems to like to run, and the Panthers need to allow him to do so, but Cam has to also think of his future...and there will be a lot less running in it.

When Cam is dialed in, and his mechanics are in order, he is nearly unstoppable, especially if he's healthy enough to run a few times a game.

There's no doubt Cam wants to be involved in the running game.  It's just a matter of finding a good balance and Cam knowing when to get down (which he's getting much better at).  I'm not sure there is any scientific logic as to why, but Cam definitely gets going throwing the ball when he converts a 1st down via his legs.  Just gets him amped up overall.

Near the goal line & more bootlegs, Rollouts & scrambles more so than QB power.

Romo mentioned this on the radio when discussing Trubisky getting the starting gig. He said if you want to be a run first team (like the Bears and Panthers do), the boots, and rollouts have to be a natural part of your passing game.
