Cam Newton doesn't owe the media a damn thing whatsoever. They've consistently doubted him throughout his career and used him as a stepping stone for their own careers and selfish agendas. Coincidentally I could say the same about Panthers fans themselves. There are going to be a lot of sudden bouts of amnesia around here the next week from the laundry list of people who declared him all but done.

I don't think "nazi's should be punched", and completely support cam's protest.  nothing about it was disrespectful to our country in anyway.  Love that my QB can believe in something and not disrespect the country that provides him the opportunity to do the things he does.  In fact, I think his fist up was far more powerful than any anthem protest so far.

Depends on what you mean by owe.  According to the league rules, he is required to be available to media. So he does owe them access.  It kind of sucks, but its part of the job and one of the reasons why he gets paid millions.
