Little of both. 

Better paly calling on offense

Looks like he shook off some rust where most do in preseason and trainining camp that he missed.

And a couple guys stepped up Funchess, dickson looked better

Shula called a good game today. Games like today keep him from getting fired.

I was told this was the first week he took his full reps in practice. It could be that too.

Plus He and Shula lost Olsen...so they had to rework the game plan and still trying to work CMC into the mix....it's still a work in progress.  Distractions had nothing to with it....

I dont think it ever really was distractions for Cam, as it was bad Shula playcalling and no practice.

Practice made a world of difference.  I was waiting for that performance and I love it.  I'm high off the Cammy Cam Juice...  wait.

Cam had protection. That was vital.

Shula called a good game too.

Saints got pressure on cam. New England never really got much. Makes a huge difference

He's always been a inconsistent QB. He's great or terrible. Fantastic game today.

Maybe he's shaking the rust off.  I don't wanna be a downer and just assume this was a product of the pats (lack of a) defense.
