Y'all are basically saying that a team with a coach that comes from the defense side shouldn't draft a QB. Sounds great!

Lamar Jackson is the best QB in this draft easy.

The thing is, unless Cam retires after the season, using our first round pick on a QB would be extremely idiotic.

Offensive coaches are most successful when they have a defensive coordinator they can leave in charge of that front  so they can concentrate on their side of the ball. The other side is no different.

Nobody expects our defensive minded coaches to develop the quarterbacks. We just wish that when it came to who they pick to run that department, their choices would be less...uninspiring.

Actually, having a guy sit for a year works out well sometimes.  Throwing them out there too early can be risky, just never know

Brad Kaaya is Jimmy Clausen. They are the same awkward delivery, middle school sensation QBs. Hopefully he stays on the bench.

Kaaya is being trained to play NFL QB by THE Ken Dorsey. AKA: the guy Cam hired to play QB coach so he doesn't have to change anything.

Hurney/Rivera don't have the balls, but I would take a QB in the 1st/2nd round if only to push Cam into playing better and focusing and let a young QB develop for a few years watching from the sideline.

I agree that unless there are major staff changes I don't think Cam is looking to resign here. Hed go to NY or LA

He very well could be, but if Riveria is still here, for the sake of the hypothetical OP scenario, I am just not sure they would go with another QB considered to be a passer/runner.  Although, Jackson is lightening quick and if he can avoid the big hits like, lets say Wilson, then he might be a fantastic NFL QB.  He certainly has the arm
