I would have to see the play in motion, but it appears with better protection that the receivers, particularly the one up top, would have been able to make a break across the middle to get open.

I know you can't really pin a teams success or lack thereof on a single player, but with that being said, the stability/knowledge/experience of Ryan Kalil is being sorely missed right now on the O line

Long time reader and historical poster, but I've laid low for a long time now.  

Not anymore.  This ^.  This may be the most frustrating play I've witnessed in many, many years.  It was a poor play call that was  poorly executed that deflated the confidence of Cam and the entire offense and set the tone for the entire game.  

Go back to our roots.  Ground and pound and beat them into submission.  Instead we get max protect and a DE that goes untouched to squash our 6' 5" fragile quarterback.  Depressing and disheartening for everyone in that stadium for a multitude of reasons.

We have no one else that comes close to demanding a double team.
