Roster Watch

Over the weekend, decisions were made. Nothing big, and most were expected. Training camp is set to begin today for the Charlotte Checkers, so the Hurricanes assigned 7 players to Charlotte so that they can prepare for their camp. These players were:

Forwards:
Patrick Brown
Andrew Miller
Julien Gauthier 

Defense:
Brenden Kichton
Dennis Robertson
Philip Samuelsson
Roland McKeown

This leaves the Hurricanes roster at 33 players. Jeremy Smith (G) will likely end up cut or assigned, which leaves 9 other decisions to be made before the start of the regular season.

Smith is going to be Charlotte's #1 Goalie. Roy will go down to Charlotte eventually. I'm surprise Gauthier was sent so early.

Gauthier had a filthy goal against the Caps, I thought he would at least get a few more games.

Charlotte looks to be stacked this year.

Forwards: Julian Gauthier, Andrew Miller, Sergey Tolchinsky, Andrew Poturalski, Spencer Smallman, Steven Lorentz, Warren Foegele, Patrick Brown, Nick Schilkey, Clark Bishop, Mitchell Heard, Zach Stortini, Mike Ferrantino, Justin Kea, and Brett Bulmer.

Defense: Roland McKeown, Philip Samuelsson, Dennis Robertson, Brenden Kichton, Keegan Kanzig, Josh Wesley, Tyler Ganly, Matt Finn, and Josiah Didier.

Goalies: Alex Nedeljkovic, Callum Booth, Martin Ouellette

That's already a solid roster with only more help on the way.
