McCaffrey's Post Game Quote

From Panthers.com

"We've got to keep pushing. We've got to keep our head up, it's one game. A lot of people will probably be down on us and that's fine with us because we're a brotherhood. What matters is what is in this locker room. We're going to do everything we can to get it fixed."

He sounded passionate. I like his style. Keep pounding!

a 2-14 brotherhood is still 2-14 so w/e

Or *insert losing record* here...w/e doesn't h ave to be 2-14.\

Ron's MO is playing hard when it doesn't matter so no doubt we'll spurt off 4 meaningless wins when we're out of contention and no one cares anymore.

Well I can say this game shook my confidence but CMC has a point. It is still only one game and only week 3 so plenty of time left in the season. Our defense needs to shake off whatever the hell was wrong with them this game and get back to the dominance we have gotten accustomed to from them. As for the offense, having both Greg and Kelvin (short term from what I'm hearing) are going to hurt but we still have play makers available in Jstew and CMC. I'd like to think that Cam will be fine as well if the coaches will start allowing him more physical practice before games to work our the rust and quit holding him out, out of fear. The coaching staff, well, not much positive I can say about them, all I can think of is that the fear of being fired kicks into them and they start coaching better though I'd still like to see them gone after some of the dumb decisions today.

I find it sad that CMC is currently the best receiving option and yet is only targeted when nobody else can get open. He's open all the time and just isnt even looked at. When he gets the ball, the offense moves down field. He should've had 20 catches for 200 yards. Do it until they stop it and if they don't, let him push the offense into the endzone over and over. Take what the defense gives you and get your stars and playmakers the ball. Every time either CMC or Samuel touched the ball, the ball moved down the field. So get them more involved. Jeez.

I was watching the game via Stream and it was very choppy but it seemed to me that we went away from CMC for awhile.   We should shove him down each teams throat until they do something about it.

    • See my post above. We tankers get all the you aren’t a fan of you want to get a higher draft pick but damn we’ve given up generational talent because of some meaningless wins coupled with even worse drafting/trading of picks. The “real” fans can’t seem to get that we are two wins in 2019/2020 away from having Herbert throwing to Chase every week and still having CMC and Moore along with the picks we wasted on Corral, Darnold and Young. We’d be a solid playoff team even with Rhule and Fitterer.
    • But those late wins helped the culture
    • It is all about who picks the best but that’s a bit obvious. Also, below are a few examples right out of our own draft picks showing where having a better pick is very meaningful. There are plenty of idiots like Chicago, Cleveland and the Jets, who like us, take a Young over Stroud. That said, having the top pick did mean it was our choice. If we picked Stroud, Houston was screwed for not moving up but we had a guy named Fo Anyway, here are the very recent Panther examples: 2020 - We had 1 too many wins so we got Derrick Brown 1 pick after Herbert. Brown is a solid player and I’m glad to have him, but let’s be honest that Herbert would have been much, much better and we would have skipped over the travesty of trading away CMC for nothing, giving away DJ Moore and trading the farm for Young. One draft slot away from an entirely different NFL team. 2021 - We had 1 too many wins so we got Horn instead of all pro tackle Sewell, all pro WR Chase or choosing to trade pick 3 (one less win and we got there) to SF for 3 firsts and I think 1 third. Horn is a good CB, but our team would have been much better with Chase, Sewell or all the 1sts. 2022 - Great end of the year run due to an easy schedule and not tanking for a QB by trading Burns to the Rams, Moore to the Packers and others. We all know what happened here and damn would it have been nice to have say Arizona’s pick and watch Houston choose Young!
