If it wasn't for Cam running one in which the team has been trying to limit, we would have been held without a TD for the second game this season.

Something needs to change immediately. I would say it is time to bench Cam until he is able to practice regularly but for some reason we cut Webb and kept Anderson after he sucked it up worse in the preseason than Cam has in the regular season this year. Maybe it's time to say fug it and let Kayaa get killed behind our turnstile offensive line.

Moton or I hate to even say it Silatolu need to be getting first team left tackle reps because Matt Kalil is playing like a little bitch.

At this point Shula has the injury excuse to use as to why the offense sucks. The coaches chose to roll with a guy Like Ed Dickson when Greg went down and quote "not going to change anything just because Greg is injured". Gtfo, the coaches know exactly who Dickson is and should know the game plan will need to be changed accordingly. Or man up and sign someone to help fill the void.

Its crazy how a coach can keep his job for so long especially after this bad of a start.

But but but but it worked in 2015, so it has to work now!!!! Jobs need to be lost in the coaching department asap

I tell ya it feels like all Rivera has tried to do is remake the 2015 team. From vet presence to locker room feel. Guess what Ron this isn't 2015 you have to fing get better not try to repeat a winning years formula. Idiot

Bengals fired their offensive coordinator after their offense started off about as bad as ours and now they are up 21-7 against Greenbay.

Yep

Also from that game, Rodgers is without his starting LT and has already been sacked 4 times in this half.

Rodgers is known to be one of the smartest QB's in the league but can't overcome having to deal with a pilon protecting his blind side at the moment. He's also thrown a pick 6 today as well.

My point, there would be no Aaron Rodgers if we had drafted him. It's no coincidence that Cam's best year came when he had decent protection for the most part.

Then you have Matt Kalil allowing Cam Jordan a free run at Cam on the opening drive. Its time to try Moton or even Amini at LT, enough is enough

Speaking the truth? lol. You are throwing a hissy fit over a football game. Sure I hate what happened today, but my life hasn't changed one bit. Other than making fun of posters that go absolutely bat shiit crazy over losing a stupid football game.

You'll have to excuse @iamhubby1 He's still recovering from "educating" us about how Shula isn't garbage or predictable.

Aw, aren't you nice to remember me. I would much rather be known for being a bit off. Than to be known as an over reactionary poster, who resorts to foul language, and belittling players and coaches. Just to show your displeasure? Over a football game. LOL

Also, at what point did you claim the game was over this week? It was still the first quarter when you said that not only is this game is over, but so is the season? Nobody likes a quitter.

Hey, why don't you educate us some more this week huh? I would love for you to share more of your superior knowledge to us on how Shula isn't predictable and how a fan could not possibly know what plays are coming, even though he could only muster up 13 points against a historically bad defense without it's top 3 corners. Oh, and even though Saints players were jumping routes because they knew what was coming, I'm sure Shula is still not predictable right?

Hmm and you're right. I should have known not to say the game was over after the 1st, even though we get curb stomped after the 1st. We've had so many comebacks when down 13 amiright? Oh wait, we haven't? Yeah, I was way off saying the game was done.......

    • Strange, every news article and tweet I just searched all mentioned waivers. It is definitely his sixth year of at least 6 games. All I was trying to think of earlier was at the vet min could he beat out Bryce in camp next year lol. He's kinda got the old Darnold issue where he can obviously launch deep balls and qb run at a level Bryce will never achieve, but it sounds like he would be content being like a Josh Allen backup who doesn't throw the whole game plan out the window if he has to come in for a series or two. If we had him and for some reason still wanted to start Bryce he would kinda do what Justin Fields was doing the other night with Dangeruss, coming in for designed runs and maybe some play action/triple option rpo things to go deep. That would be so obvious and sad though. At least Russ can still sling it 40 yards in the air with a flick of the wrist
    • Too late to edit above but the quote is from this Diane Russini article in the Athletic: https://www.nytimes.com/athletic/5941684/2024/11/23/russinis-what-im-hearing-the-day-the-jets-fell-apart-and-the-broncos-rallied-belichick-best-fits/ Okay.. there you have sorry I left that out the first post.  Also waivers keep the contract intact. That is the major difference in released and waived. It's all in that link from the other post.
    • Okay so I am reading something in The Athletic and it says that Jones had to pass through waivers. So I don't know. I looked this stuff up when we were number one there all offseason and I thought it said 4 years in the league got you vested, as they call it.  Vested gets you out of waivers as I understood it. I probably got something wrong, but when I think about the slack quality of journalism these days I wonder about that. So I went and looked, again. Well, well.  For everyone: "When a player has accrued at least four seasons in the NFL, they are considered a vested veteran. When these vested veterans get cut, they are released and their contract is terminated. When a vested veteran is released, they are an unrestricted free agent that can sign with any NFL team, and the team that released them doesn’t need to provide any additional compensation." It runs it all down here, where the quotes came from: https://www.profootballnetwork.com/waived-vs-released-nfl/ As far as Jones, the team turned down his 5th year option so I knew that meant he had 4 years in, because they re-signed him anyway, after turning down the much cheaper extra year.  The Athletic is owned by the New York Times so I shouldn't be surprised. That paper was an institution once upon a time but they let their standards go.
