Lack of player execution was more the culprit today

Not that the coaches are blameless for today's result, because there were some expectantly "routine" and conservative play calls during typical times for this Shula-led offense, but Cam killed us on offense. And it wasn't just the overthrows, but the missed reads and forcing balls into coverage. It's simply unacceptable. Those can't be blamed on a shoulder.

On defense, we were manhandled at times. There were way too many missed tackles, suspect reads, and an alarmingly generous defensive backfield that basically helped dig the team's grave today.

The only person that I might give a gold star on defense today was Addison. On offense, wide receivers McCaffrey and Funchess, and J. Stew. Perhaps there would have been more, but Cam was just bad.

At some point you have to wonder about the team construction also.

Well, we are 2-1...

Honestly, we failed in every aspect of football today. Offense, defense, coaching, probably the trainers at the rate we're piling up injuries, waterboys probably spilled all the Gatorade, cheerleaders were probably drunk like in The Waterboy.

It was just a dumpster fire.

Nah, the Topcats looked good through the first half anyway. Summer uniforms.

I hate to say it but I think the Panthers should have done what the Colts did and sat Cam. His shoulder can't be getting any better with the beating he is taking. The offense is so bad right now that we would still probably be 2-1 without Cam. If Cam isn't able to routinely practice it will continue to show on the field and hurt the team, especially when Shula and the o line aren't doing him any favors.
