Toys for Tots gets 100% of the donations that come in. Typically there is a paypal link posted for those who are out of town to contribute. If you'll only contribute in hopes of getting a cut, then you need to find another charity.

Are you insane?I'm trying to give you an idea to raise money from people who never attend or ever come to the games, where they would give and not mind giving, and would probably spend more.We do one board a week that pays 100 a quarter to win,and 600 goes to the rec department to keep up all the fields for all of our kids to play on.People don't mind spending money on that,in fact we have to do two boards some weeks. It's easier than begging for money or selling tix, people don't mind spending their money for a chance to win some back

We haven't needed to be lured into it before. We give because we want to, not because there is something in it for us.

Its called giving, not gambling.

I'm really surprised that making more money for a good cause is that bad of idea to some people. You'd get people to give who normally wouldn't is my point. We take care of our youth here so they will grow up and help the community one day and be good people. It's not like you are betting money on a team or can even pick your numbers to help your chances. But taking in more money for kids,no matter how,is a good thing. At the end of the season i'll post how much we have raised for the youth to have good ballfields and playgrounds, and we'll see how much more it is than you getting donations
