I don't think Cam is healthy

He currently have 25.0 rating against the worst D in NFL.  He never had such an awful rating... ever.  Also, notice how we do not throw deep at all?  All 5-15 yard slants and runs.  We are bashing Shula but I think the play calling is designed to preserve Newton shoulder.

While you may be correct, Shula has been a problem through his entire career. Cam has blame, but Shula does too.

He's had the worst collection of tackles of any QB in the nfl over his career, and has suffered the most hits of any QB by far

It's not even the physical damage, it's all the blows to the heads and concussions.  You can't suffer that many concussions without early symptoms of CTE

Playing QB with Chronic traumatic encephalopathy is quite difficult, I imagine;  blame Dave Gettleman, who never gave him a decent tackle to work with since he forced Jordan Gross into early retirement.

Good thing he waited to have surgery so late into the off season...

but in all seriousness Shula doesn’t get a pass at all. One deep play with Funch running the route, the play before was a curl route on 2nd and 10 with Stewart at the target. The delay of game that stalled a good drive was because the play call was so late and had to sub the package.

Shula is the worst

I think the Panthers as an organization have ruined him.  Ever since he's been here he's been stuck behind terrible offensive lines, offensive coordinators that refuse to coach to his strengths, mediocre players at skill positions.  We could go on and on.

Yup

The genius David Gettleman, never realized preventing your franchise QB from developing Chronic traumatic encephalopathy, was a more important priority than drafting 200 defensive tackles, and allowed Cam to get knocked in the head more than any QB in NFL history

I mean his confidence looks shot, his body language is bad, he just doesn't seem to be enjoying himself anymore.

    • For the silly people that worship her it will be that.  The Coleman 'legend' thing, they did that with another fairly average player that was here and I sort of mocked or questioned the 'legend' status. Instantly caught crap for insulting someone's favorite Panther. So okay, Kurt Coleman is a Legend.
    • You allow him to compete--you all are talking as if I am proposing making him the starter. Give him a new coach, new weapons, good OL, etc. and see what happens. You are saying, "Well Damn.  It did not work for 3 guys..."  Right now, our C is injured, we lost our top 2 WRs.  Better question:  If you need a QB, Why would you not take a chance on bringing in a QB who was a former first rounder, a good arm, intelligence, mobility, youth, etc.  and see how he does out of NY--with a better OL, better running game, better receivers.  I am not saying give him a 10-year contract, I am saying give him a chance. You act like there is no improvement on offense here--it was a 2 year process, and next year is year 2.  To me, how can you sit there with Bryce and an opportunity to sign a veteran QB on the cheap comes available and you say--"Not us. We're good.  We are waiting for Patrick Mahommes."  Jone's problem is obviously mental--and he has little support.  Why is this so frigging hard to comprehend.  It is called "bottom fishing" and it is better than sitting in the boat.
    • I think we're going to fall from behind quite early and be forced to abandon the run game.  3 rushes -2 yards 1 catch -10 yards
