Anyone just saw Mccaffrey's replacement at Stanford

But all offseason I heard how he can run through the tackles cause he did it at Stanford

The operative word in your reply is "offseason." He could run through the tackles in college in that system. Through two real NFL games, it doesn't appear to be working very well. On the other hand, throwing him the ball does. He has to run sometimes if he lines up in the backfield. I get that. It's the predictability problem, so design and call plays where he can successfully run. Straight up the middle with our line so far is not working. Once opposing defenses start to shift alignments to counter, THEN call a play for him up the middle.

There's a mindset that has to be employed, a mindset that has application across many fields. I use it well in mine. I promise you that if my dad was a respected NFL coach, and I had been raised in football, with the multitude of resources available, I guarantee you that CMC would have 150 plus multipurpose yards today, and that's a low estimate. We''ll see if RR/Shula wise up. I'll be there in a couple hours screaming my head off one way or the other.

The article above is pretty much how I see it right now.

Nah you never had to enter this thread but you did. I'm sorry I want my team to be successful while you want players that don't even fit our system

No need to apologize.  I can't change the roster, so I just watch and pull for my team.

If you think this thread will change our selection of CMC, be my guest.

PS: I enter a lot of threads looking for good points and diff opinions. Not much of either in here.

Please, please, please, pretty please!

Can people stop looking at McCaffrey as a star! He is not a star, he is a complimentary player who can do multiple things but not great at one thing. He was drafted here to help bring a change to our predictable offense. We unfortunately have the worst offensive coordinator in football who doesn't know how to use McCaffrey's talent.

I also blame us for drafting him so high because that created a hype and buzz around him, which is why people think he should be a star talent. We just have to be patient with McCaffrey and let him develop into a great complimentary player.

You don't want the team to succeed... You want to bitch and moan about everything because that's all you're good for. It's pathetic

Your definition of "massive numbers" must be different than mine. There is a reason CMC was a first round prospect and those guys weren't even in the consideration.

Well let see, Gerhart had 1800+ yards rushing and 28 TD his final year at Stanford

Taylor is the all time career rushing leader at Stanford with 5000 yards from scrimmage

And Gaffney had 1700 yards rushing and 21 TD after taking a year off to play baseball

are those massive enough for you?

Yep cause scouts fell for the hype. Same way they fall for Wisconsin and Alabama running backs.

Just rephrase your post to "I take it lying down"

By your logic I never want to hear you complain about Shula cause "you can't change the coaching staff, and I just pull for my team"

Bryce Love 260 yards against UCLA

Averaging 180 yards rushing per game at 10 yards per carry clip.

This why I don't buy into Stanford running backs, I'm pretty sure I can average 100 yards a game behind that line.

You must be the guy who made the Fournette > McCaffrey thread a bit ago
