What CMC can't do (Get a 1st down on 3rd and 1)

Man, if only there was some way to root for the players you like instead of the team!

CMC is not going to be an effective, bruising RB like Stewart.  We know this.  He's a Swiss army knife.  He's not a hammer.  He CAN run between the tackles with some effectiveness, but he's not the guy who will power his way over dudes on 3rd and 1.  This is like complaining your convertible sucks when you try to put a luggage rack on it.

It's just stupid we drafted him top 10

Stewart for fugs sake was the 13th pick and he was way better in college than McCaffrey

No RB is worth a top 10 pick unless you are a true 3 down back that can do everything. People hated me for comparing CMC to Reggie Bush/Theo Riddick/Danny Woodhead, yet that's exactly what he looks like. Not necessarily a waste of a pick, but #8 was WAY too high for a player like CMC tbh

If you draft a RB at #8 even if the player is hailed as more of an elusive, pass catching back, I need to know that back can get the first down.

There was a 3rd and 1 on Sunday and we ran it with CMC. Get the first down, no excuses, you get the 1st down on 3rd and 1 if you're a RB if not you suck. 3rd and 1 in NFL for any respectable RB should be a 1st down and seen as a fail if not.

If CMC stops running between tackles and defenses can take that out of the book of things he can do it will be easier to defend him. If defenses know he's going to be mostly catching passes this makes him one dimensional and he'll have to be some kind of receiver to do work when the D knows he's going to be a pass catcher.
