Shula unrest

If you knew anything, you'd know we had the top scoring offense, not the top overall offense. Nothing from that had anything to do with Shula,  that came from tons of short field opportunities caused by a great defense that forced a lot of turnovers. Have you ever watched a game on re-run and not focused so much on where the ball is going, but how the other aspects of the plays pan out? Our offense is less complicated then a high school offense tbh... and that's all on Shula. So, keep telling g yourself Shula isn't to blame here, or whatever else makes this season easier for you, yea.. Cam is inaccurate,  but that isn't rust... he's the same he's always been.  Dropped passes? What's new? Shitty blocking? When was the last time it was good? Dude... it's Shula

Actually, the Panthers are known to have one of the more complex offensive schemes, especially in the run game. That comes from many analysts, players, and coaches that have heard speak on the subject.

read the bold back to yourself. You're an embarrassment to this fan base. Your incompetence has resulted in me blocking you so I don't contract your autism. Have a great day.

You dont get what he is saying..i understand that. We had alot stalled opportunities with our regular offense sequence..if it was not for the defense creating turnovers giving us a shortfield we would not had those points. Our offense had many 3 and outs thats how most of our games became nailbiters...u saw first hand how good of a offensive coordinator he was in the SB. Sure maybe he will call a nice 2quarters but last time i watched a game football was 4 qtrs.

Understood just fine what he was trying to convey. Move along.

Just because it is complex does not mean it works. Sometimes you can just overthink things..he tends to do that alot I think..when the sumple things would just work...U know what I mean

Oh I agree 100% with that  - I was just commenting on the statement that the offense was less complicated than a High School offense which is far from true.

I'm staying out of the Shula is good or bad debate. To me the truth lies somewhere in the middle (as it does in most arguments) and there is no fun in that.

Shula defenders are even worse than Shula bashers. 2015 defense lead the league in turnovers, had great field position, and a legendary year from Cam behind an OL that year that only allowed 33 sacks (fewest in a season in his career).

The 2015 season had many games where the Panthers rushed out to a huge lead before going into halftime, not adjusting the gameplan, and doing nothing on offense while the other team slowly chipped away at the lead before we escaped with a win.

See: First Aints game in 2015, Colts game, Packers game, Giants game, Seahawks playoff game.

I think myself that Cam is not a match for what Ron has invision for this team and it may be part why s Shula calls plays like he does but i still think Shula is not good. He has a track record of being bad.

This chart says otherwise. We have never been top 10 in total yards on offense. What we were good at was scoring when given the ball in good field position by our defense. Without that defense turning the ball over left and right the numbers would have been a lot lower. To each their own though.

How many games does total yards win? As long as we run at least 50% we won't be in the top 10. That will always go to teams that throw  the ball down the field since average yards per pass are always more than yards per run. Or west coast type offenses that run hurry up. We weren't top 10 in total yards in 2015 when we led the league in points which is the only stat that matters. What is supposed to happen is our style offense is supposed to be good in the redzone. But so far this year that hasn't happened.

Again 90% of 2015 was the great defense, and when Denver showed up with no turnovers and playing great defense we disappeared. It has been the case ever since. The play that highlights how stupid Shula's play calling is was last Sunday when on 2nd and 1 he tossed it out to Stewart for a loss. Why not run it up the middle, and get the 1 yard to keep the chains going? It is stuff like this, the wasting of timeouts/snapping at the last second, and not being able to adjust his game plan that has people like me complaining. Again it is my opinion, but it is not without facts to back it up.

Denver had two turnovers.

And it was more like 60/40.  There were some games in which our offense dominated without the help of turnovers, or that the defense didn't play that well.
