My guess is there's more money to be made "searching" for a cure than actually having one.   Don't underestimate the greed of drug companies and so called non-profit organizations.

They would make more money selling the cure than researching it. You bet your ass if it were available people would pay for it.

There is no cure because it's a complex thing that we don't quite understand and can't explain why cells reproduce the ways they do. Nothing more, nothing less.

LOL @ the tinfoil hat wearers.

Steve Jobs had more money than many entire countries and he's dead at a relatively young age... of cancer.

Yeah but he tried a bunch of "natural" remedies and snake oil to try and fix it. Could have treated it with actual medicine.

He ded now.

He had stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He was probably pretty much told there was nothing they could do.

People with terminal illnesses get desperate and will try just about anything in the hopes that something will work. I don't blame them. But, these purveyors of natural/holistic remedies that make all kinds of over the top claims about the results of their fairy dust... yeah...

He did not, he had neuroendocrine cancer of the liver. It is different and treatable:

He spent a bunch of time dicking off with alternative medicine instead of hitting it hard when it was diagnosed:

I'm not familiar with his case, all I know is that it was announced that he died from complications of pancreatic cancer.

I'm not going to fault a man for treating his disease the way he chose. It's his life.

But, this current trend of attacking science based medicine in favor of anecdotal natural and holistic methods with no clinical basis is pretty damn alarming. Especially when even intelligent people fall into those traps.

I wanted to give one more update to this thread that I just found out today.  Although no Panthers could make it up to Salisbury before Mike passed, Coach Rivera and KB did both Skype with him.  I've seen a video of it, and he was truly moved by it.  So, kudos to Ron and Kelvin for this.
