I agree we have the players but Shula makes personnel groupings seem like an ex cerise in theoretical physics.

I imagine a dank hotel room with pins and strings from player to player, half drawn plays and pizza boxes.  Overflowing ashtrays empty pill bottles and cheap whiskey dot the room.  The smell of failure and stale smoke hang thick.  

 

Come to to think of it, Shula needs help guys.  He's cracking.

We shouldn't be starting Funchess. Should be starting KB and Samuel , with Funchess backing up KB and  Byrd backing up Samuel. Have McCaffrey and Shepard play alot of  slot and somemtimes out wide. 

Funchess is beyond redundant for our teams needs at WR and I'll always have a small grudge against gettleman for it. We really should have put everything we had into making sure we got DeSean Jackson in free agency . Would have been a perfect compliment to Bejamin and we would have had plently of speed at WR (Jackson, Samuel, Byrd, McCaffrey).  And the dude would have been a great mentor to mold CSamuel into a dominant speed WR.

Yeah, ultimately I see KB and Funch being possession receivers.  KB has a lot more upside, but with Funch, he's pretty much reached his zenith.

We can win with this group.  Problem up to this point is they don't have a 30 foot catch radius.  Despite the doom and gloom I think things will get better.

Samuel actually played quite a few snaps yesterday. Cam only thew it to him twice for 7yds though.

Nope.  WR not a problem.

Every time we got the ball out quick it went for a positive gain.  Every time we ran long developing routes it was a sack.  Same thing as 2016, Shula has yet to adjust to people blitzing Cam.  Our receivers are fine, it's up to Shula to adjust his play calling and for Cam to take what the defense is giving him.

It's also up to Cam to take the lay ups...and not miss them.

Funchess had a good game yesterday, and now you want to give up on him? Hell, I want the see more. Our problem is that we failed to get Samuels and Byrd involved with the regular flow of the offense.
