If the scheme - or the "schemer" - were really that clever, it/he wouldn't have been so easy to adjust for.

With ZERO threat of Cam actually running out of the read option look, those plays are literally just telegraphing to the D where the play is going. 

It's so stupid it's baffling that a professional NFL OC is calling said plays at the frequency he is.

He had an MVP season because of the offense being tailored to his strengths. With referees taking away his running and with him having to be a pocket passer he is having to make adjustments and do what is not his strong suit. The game plan has changed. But we are struggling with execution. Something that takes time given all the time that Cam missed

Curtis Samuel is our deep threat and game -changer. This staff doesn't seem to want to use him at all.

No surprise there, remember when we would send Cotchery on streak routes. Now we draft CMC, Samuels and sign Shepard but totally misuse CM, barely use Samuels at all Shepard sparingly. We're still allowing Cam to hold onto the ball. What happened to getting the ball out of Cams hands faster. All through PS we saw last years offense with the exception of a wrinkle or two and we still expected more. Unfortunately, thats what we got, more of the same...

It was schemed very well. Shula can call some great plays. His downfall is adjustments and game flow.

I think better use of personal is what is killing us. Like being a run first team that has no FB. We would have scored 14 if we had a FB on the roster yesterday. Or using Funchess in the slot while Samuel and Byrd sit the bench. He had excuses in years past but not this year.

Then you would be totally wrong. We had arguably the worse receiving corps in the NFL and a middling line at best. Our running game was complex and sophisticated but gimmicky by design. We lost in the Superbowl to a team that excelled in the areas we struggled with. It was a matchup nightmare for how our team was built. Add the fix for Manning to go out a winner and it was the perfect storm.

Shula has designed some fantastic plays that utilize the players well in our offense. 

He also has some real duds. 

He's also terrible at situation play calling. 2nd and short all game, everyone KNEW it would be a run with Stewart up the gut. Hit up a play action pass. Those are the situations where you should take a shot down the field, not when it's expected at 3rd and long after our RB gets stuffed for a loss. 

I still don't know why we aren't giving Cam the reigns to go no huddle anymore. No huddle doesn't necessarily mean we're snapping the ball early. It gives Cam enough time to survey the field and make adjustments and call audibles. Where is the 2015 offense?

Most QB's start with at least 20 seconds on the clock. You should watch football more.
