Shula failed us

I will be pooed for this (at least by Tiger), but in the first half, there were two times we had to call a timeout because the play clock was running out.  Both times came on the heels of a great scramble by Cam for a first down.  Both times Cam jumped up and celebrated, dabbed, pointed for a first down, etc. taking a few extra seconds.  It might have been different if he gets up and immediately heads for the huddle.

Don't take this the wrong way - I like Cam and admire his ability.  But if getting the play off in time is an ongoing issue, you do not need to exacerbate the problem by celebrations of first downs.

Admittedly, yes. I was thinking it could be because the plays for DA are more limited and straightforward. It is curious though.

at this point this falls on rivera, he's the top dog, so he ultimately needs to have the problem fixed, whoever is causing it.I think since the cam injury the playbooks are similar for now until later in the season.

Shula wasn't great today, but it doesn't matter what you call if the O-line can't block it. That last drive was great until Cam missed CMC for the TD.

There was just a film analysis done of that play on Espn

it was interesting

sad Newton

1. had no chance as he was in shotgun and should only have take a 3 step drop, stepped up I to the pocket, set his feet and threw.

2.  He didn't.

3.  Instead he went to far back for the route. Was off balance  and screwed up the throw to a wide open ,Maccrefrey

part of the segment they were doing on the number of hits he takes in the pocket
