Bucky Hodges Scouting Report From Matt Waldman

@ShutDwn that wasn't my work. I posted someone else's opinion.

If y'all actually read the intro, you'd realize the whole segment isn't my own words, nor reflective of my overall opinion.

It's Matt Waldman's scouting report, a completely unbiased and respected draft analyst.

I'm not as optimistic as Matt Waldman is either, if you actually read my twitter thread. Good receiving threat, but very raw.

But please continue on with always assuming everything I post is my own opinion and I'm just a blind homer lol.

I appreciate your posts and I pie you all the time but I'm not going to apologize for giving my opinion. I was also not assuming that Matt Waldman's opinion was the same as yours. I was replying to people in the other Bucky Hodges thread as much as this one, where people were claiming that he will be on the regular roster in no time. I like the signing, but a lot of people are getting carried away on this guy and this thread does not help put things in perspective.

It's really good work but is it worth it to write 1000 words on him? Optimism is great, blind optimism isn't.

Garrett was supposed to be the next UDFA stud and people were blowing him up all preseason based on highlight tapes. He just got cut and the hype moves on to the player that hasn't failed to live up to the unrealistic expectations.

There really aren't that many skill position players that turn into something after a few years. Usually you can tell pretty quickly if a guy has the innate sense and grabs your attention by actually making plays, not just how physically impressive they are. Norman was a rare case of a stud developing slowly because he lacked discipline and cost himself a lot of years but IRC, he had multiple picks in his first practice.

Churning the bottom of the roster is key, but if you look at the late round steals in the NFL, a lot of them proved their worth quickly. Teams just aren't going to wait on low investment players.

Who cares if he writes 1000 words? Who cares if he's overly optimistic?  How does either effect your life? Are you somehow being forced by law to read his posts?
