He's perfectly fine against anyone that isn't a top end WR with speed. He shadowed Dez, OBJ and Julio in the playoffs last year and it went poorly for him. Good ST'er, good backup CB, decent starting CB and has some potential to move to safety with his size and tackling. Hard to complain about picking a guy like that up after the season already started.

Carson was one of our few pick ups in free agency expected to start. We're picking up a potentially better guy in the second week of the season to be at best #4 on our depth chart. Give the guy a chance Jeremy!

Bottom line is teams just don't waive good young corners. 

Maybe the Panthers can develop him into a good backup. Would not shock me if Wilks does. 

But thats where the expectations should be. No where else.

Most of us are agreeing with you here mate, it's just a lot of people are setting expectations a lot lower for Hurney pick ups than Gman pick ups and in this case I just can't see a reason for it.

I like it. Corn missed too much of the off-season. This is basically gonna be a redshirt year for him. Cole Luke sucks. Trading for Seymour and picking up Gunter are good moves.

Honestly, he's kind of perfect for this defense. Gettleman  probably would have made the same move.

Hurn dawg with another good move. Gunter looks to be solid depth, and if we need him in a pinch or spot start, he could hold down the fort. Thinking he can get better under Wilks.
