Week 1 Power Rankings : ESPN Ranks us #11 , NFL.com says #18. What do you think?

Its a little wonky to do power rankings this early in the season but I guess this is good? Our ranking improved from pre season on both sites but they are still worried about Cam's accuracy and the fact that it was just the 49ers who are clearly in a fresh rebuild. I can't really blame them that much.

After watching the first weeks games, where would you rank the Panthers in your own power rankings?

Until we win a few more games and beat a top team I'm not sure where we are.

Couldn't care less, but we are the most talented team in football as I've explained before (only team in 10 years to win 17 games, Divisional Round 3 of 4 years, former MVP and DPOY in their 20's, 13 former Pro Bowlers, 12 former 1st Rd picks, 5 former top 10 picks, 8 former top 15 picks, etc., etc. etc.).

Being a homer I would rank them in the top 5 but the pundants won't. So they can liberally lick my huddles.

Until Cam shakes the rust off I'd say between 13-20. The defense can only take us so far. Cam can't miss wide open receivers if we're expecting to win more than 6 games.

When Cam starts to play like his old self, easily top 10.

For those who say the SF game was not a good win, this is the NFL, not college football with Alabama playing Southwest Alaska State.  Any win is a good win, especially when you keep the opponent out of the end zone.  Doesn't mean we will win next week, but then neither would beating them 42-0.   

 

I have no problem with  either power ranking, although I think being 18th might motivate the team a little more.

How people see us won't change until after week 4 and we are 4-0.  I honestly can't rank us as I've not seen enough from us or anyone else.

Much better than last season, but not the top of the league. I would give the Panthers a Wildcard-Spot. 9-12.

I'd say they're just about right based on week 1. If you ask me where we really belong, it's #1.  But just looking at the week 1 games I'd say right in the middle, bottom few of the winners.
