Dude, Shepard got a score in broken coverage. That's hardly a display of any significant skills. What you should be asking is where is Shepard and the rest of the receiving corps are at.

Nobody said he was as "awful." That is a red herring. What most did say is that he had done very very little as a receiver, and that he needed to do more. He still does.

Our receiving corps needs Samuel ASAP.  That should be pretty apparent.

Fwiw, we had 14 total completions on 25 attempts.  Given those numbers, 2 receptions, 1 long td and no drops is a decent day for a receiver that doesn't start.  That being said, we still don't know enough about how he will perform.  I am hoping we see more of the same from him.
