Good morning ladies and gents and welcome to another season of Panther's football and the eats and drink that go along with it! Now it's important to remember now more than ever we are a family. And members of our family have had dietary changes for the past year for health or personal reasons. This gives you no right to belittle them or poo post them. There are no wrong answers in this thread. So let's keep it positive! Also please consider donating food and other supplies including bottled water to the people suffering down in Florida/Texas. Today we eat and drink like kings but down there it's a different world. Okay back to the menu!

Normally I eat very healthy on Sundays but I've tweaked my diet to allow for some more calories. Bad calories. =) Today I will be having pasta with my homemade spicy sausage sauce. Haven't decided on a beverage yet because pasta with red sauce doesn't sound like it would go over well with Guinness. Any suggestions? So there you have it. But it is far from over Huddle. I need you to post recipes, pictures, videos of whatever it is you're eating/drinking today. Lets kick opening day off with bang!

Remember.... PICS ARE ENCOURAGED!

Red wines with pasta are typically the best go to, but stouts actually go well with a red sauce. I highly recommend this one if you can find it....

Best wishes for you and your family.

Thanks man.  I finally convinced my family to evacuate yesterday.  My father stayed with their house.  They are not in a evac zone and everybody was going to stay there.  When I woke up yesterday and saw the newest track I basically said, "bleep this, my cat and I are leaving, you guys come if you want."  Several friends of mine did the same thing.  So my dad called his brother and sent everybody else with me to my uncle's place.  We will get rain and winds here but lives should be safe.

Five adults, five cats, three nephews two and under...and lots of alcohol for me.

Invited the fam over for week one, so I brought out the crockpots. I've got three kinds of queso going, chili dogs for my parents, and then homemade mozzarella stuffed meatball hoagies, along with some deviled eggs and pasta salad. My tummy is growling already.

you, good sir,  have won the thread already.  Kudos!

like Dex, I'm thinking pasta...probably spaghetti with meatballs.

and beer.

    • I don't get the Hunter hate. Just imagine his ceiling if he stopped trying to be this 2way freak and focused on one side of the ball
    • 100%.  You have to play the cards that are dealt.  Not the cards you wish were dealt.
    • I'd say its definitely going to be addressed this off-season.  We went into the last draft with a roster of RBs including:  Chubba, Blackshear, and Miles Sanders. We picked Jonathan Brooks in the second and still signed Rashaad Penny afterwards.  Fast forward....One turned into a top 10 back, 1 is injured/out for most if not all the '25 season, 1 retired, 1 will either take a huge paycut or be cut, and the last is a restricted free agent. We brought in Mike Boone as well. Add him to the free agent list also.  We need a physical option.    Which qualifies:  Ashton Jeanty(Boise St): Overall ranked Top 10. Almost 2k yards after contact, 28 tds. Would take our first rounder. My money would be on an NFC East team selecting him. (97.2 PFF run grade) - 121 forced missed tackles.  Omarion Hampton(UNC): Ranked everywhere from 20 - 59 overall. Consensus #2 back after Jeanty. He'll be a second rounder. 1,222 Yards after contact w/ 15 tds.  (90.5 PFF run grade) - 72 forced missed Tackles Kaleb Johnson(Iowa): Ranked from 38 - 69 depending on which media outlet you prefer but generally #3. 2nd/3rd possibly. 1,060 Yards after contact w/ 21 tds.(86.7 PFF run grade)- 66 forced missed tackles Cam Skattebo: Ranked from the 50's - 104. Every mock I do he ends up BPA at some point. 969 Yards after contact w/ 17 tds(92 PFF Run Grade). Probably the best receiving back of the group. 81 forced missed tackles.  If the '24 and '25 draft classes were combined, IMO the rankings would be, in order: Jeanty, Hampton, Brooks, Johnson, Skattebo. I wouldn't take one high but I'd take one for Chubba and Brooks insurance.
