Shannon Sharpe Says NFC South Will Feature Three Playoff Teams

My thoughts on this are that there have been many times before a season people have thought the NFC South would have multiple strong teams. It's very very rarely been true. 2013 was the last time, with just us and the Aints. This year, the division is insanely overhyped.

Bucs haven't proved a thing at all, don't have an elite unit on either side of the ball and Winston is not even close to the player people believe him to be. I think it's possible they can come close to the playoffs but not super likely. If Winston does take a huge step forward, then it may very well happen but I don't expect that. I think he'll be just like Luck has been, and that's a disappointment when compared to the hype that surrounds them.

Falcons had a season like our 2015 last year, with a ton of things going their way, a lot of luck, and were very healthy compared to the rest of the league. Difference is, they had 11 wins and we had 15. Their D was horrible all year, despite all these people clamoring about their youth and speed on D. They had a ton of turnover within the coaching ranks (where most of their offensive success came from--Ryan has had a ton of talent around him his entire career, it took Shanahan to actually make the offense elite though and he's gone). And the way they lost that game killed them. I see no way they come close to sniffing the playoffs by winning the division. They're another possibility for wildcard but not all that likely to me. Their SB hangover will be about half of ours, which brings them down to 6 or 7 wins.

Aints are the same as they always have been and as they always will be with Brees and Payton. Very good offense, with a terrible defense. Will hover around 7-9. Not considering them for the playoffs, it just ain't happening.

Disclaimer to the losers from these fanbases who will inevitably come over to our forum for some reason and respond to this post:

I'm not going to read it because I don't care what any of you have to say.

The Falcons will have a huge Superb Owl hangover and I agree with @thomas96 in that the Bucs and Winston are incredibly overhyped. That leaves us and the Saints. And I don't see the Saints overcoming their problems using Saint Breezus and Purple Jeezus to make up for the defensive problems.

That leaves the Panthers. I've got a lot of hope for this team and I think if the injury bug stays away, we're as solid as we were the year before last.

Just completely scratching my head as to how anyone could think the Saints are better than last year.

Maybe because they had corners off the street starting since game 2 last year. Or maybe the fact they never had starting quality line backers. Great thing about it is they addressed those issues. Why were the Panthers trash last year? I'll wait

Lol Saints had the most sacks in the preseason and had the 2nd ranked defense"bu bu bu but they still look the same" hahaha

Yall need to take off the homer shades. Saints have by far a better roster. Panthers have arguably the worst roster in the NFCS.
