An open letter to Mike Shula

Dear Mike,

 

If ever you are confused on how to properly employ CMC, please throw in that tape of the Kansas City Chiefs against the the Pats. You should pay especially close attention to where they line up #25 Kareem Hunt. There is no excuse for CMC not to have similar success all season long.

We are not interested in hearing how everything takes time to gel. Make it happen!

The Chiefs drafted an absolute Beast in the 3rd round.

To think, if Spencer Ware doesn't go down, he would have been used as a change of pace back behind him.

I seriously doubt that CMC will get anywhere close to 246 yds from scrimmage (a new NFL record for a rookie in his first game) but I sure hope he does

That offensive line played very well for the Chiefs.  If our offensive line plays well (as it did in 2015) we will be fine.

As I was watching that game, all I could do was hope and pray we use CMC the same way, especially against the Pats

What amazes me is that if CMC were to get half of what Hunt did last night, it would still be a great start for a 1st round pick. KC got the steal of the draft this year and that new QB they drafted in the first round might find himself in the Aaron Rogers rookie situation. Alex Smith looked better than ever before.

Hunt just got a head start on the OROY race. Long season though.

Hunt had a GREAT first gake but we should pump the brakes on putting him in the HOF. The Pats' defense might just be THAT bad. They made Alex Smith look like Joe Montana last night too.

Yeah I remember a Sammy Smith setting the super bowl record and everyone thought he would be better than Emmett Smith.

Smith's contract expires after next season (2018).  I highly doubt they have any intention of offering him a new contract.  Ergo, no Aaron Rodgers situation.

Thanks for the clarification. He'll find a quick home out there. The guy is smart and has been a good to very good QB over the years. Doubting he wants to take a QB2 job, but...
