PlayStation Vue is rad in the Charlotte market. Fox sports south/southeast is in the mid channel line up so you can watch the hornets as well. The only thing that would make me think about switching is if anyone offered Dolby audio. To my knowledge, none of them do.

Sling was terrible for sports. The frames per second is too choppy.

Buddy of mine did this this weekend and said when you make your first payment that they will send you a Chromecast in the mail. Is this true? Also said he was having trouble with his phone app but isn't having any trouble connecting his laptop to his TV while he waits for his stick to be delivered.

Should work on a Gbox-Q2 or equivalent. It runs android so you should be good to go. Look them up.

I could swear this was already a thread and I thought I reddit.  I've always wondered how some one with no cable service could watch a live NFL game.  Anywho I guess I'll just stream reruns of GOT.

I feel like here may be a secret message here..

YOU HAVE HEMORRHOIDS?

I watch all the Panthers games live except what is exclusively on espn or nfl network with an over the air antenna for free.  Living  between the Myrtle Beach and Wilmington television markets I usually have 2 separate stations to choose from.

I did this last year but this year I'm gonna need to be able to DVR.

Just an update for everyone. I used YouTube TV last night for the game. I was able to DVR it and start it, halfway through, from the beginning. So watching semi live is possible, with the ability to fast forward and rewind.

Quality options were as high as 1080p and on a wired connection the 1080p worked nearly flawlessly. My wifi struggled with 720p but I thinks that's because my router sucks.

There are no "apps" on Xbox One or Fire Stick, yet, for YouTube TV. I pulled the game up on my laptop and connected it to my TV via HDMI.

Looks like games will, in fact, be blacked out on mobile devices. As of this morning, September 8th, even my recording of the game is still "blacked out".

Overall, for $35 bucks, it's completely worth it for me because of the DVR capability. I'm going to miss the start of a lot of games this year, and being able to come home and watch from the beginning is huge for me. Plus I'll have Fox Sports South for Hornets games starting next month.
