I think Ron has more to do with this kicker mess if you've listened to his press conference.  Ron believes Gano is his guy so he's sticking with him.  Hurney is enabling Ron, something Dave wouldn't do in situations like this.

Yeah we've seen this before. It didn't win many games for us either.
