League screwing over Bucs, let's all laugh

I don't think the league is screwing them...there just isn't a better solution.  Both teams share the same bye week.  This also allows the players to focus and protect their families while this monstrous storm comes in.  Does it suck that they have to play 16 straight weeks? Sure it does....welcome to 1990 and earlier before the bye week existed.

I just hope that storm weakens and makes a sharp right turn out to sea before it gets to Florida.

Not going to happen.

This isn't about the NFL screwing over anyone...this is a blessing.  At least the players can get their families out of harms way, and can be with them during this storm.  This one is nothing to play with boys and girls.

Peak wind before Harvey made landfall last week was 132mph....we are sitting at 50mph more than that on Irma as we speak.

Screw football, this is life and death.

The NFL should have moved the game to Thursday night. Why not 2 games on Thursday? Monday night football plays 2 games.

The entire state of Florida is pretty much in gridlock/ frantic preparation right now from reading updates from my friends in Orlando, Miami, and Naples.

as a fan, I would be pissed.  However, there are some advantages.

They can scout the Bears and the Bears will have no game footage of them.

They play a game that would have been hot when it is much cooler.

Can't think of any others.

the first QB they get to face is Mike Glennon.

Safety is an issue but at the same time does the NFL screw over one team or both. If it would've been moved to a neutral sight that removes any home field opening day advantage the dolphins would've had, not to mention they are already losing one home game by playing in London. That scenario would've had them losing 2 home games giving the advantage to the Bucs.

With this decisions both teams get equally screwed but the playing field is even. This was a Lose-Lose situation and looks like the NFL picked the option that would mess with both teams and not just one.

You sir get all the pie in the world!

After some thought, while I see the downside of the reschedule, there's really no better way. I'm sure the players and team employees (yes they are the lucky ones in terms of being able to deal with this in comparison) are happy to be taking the precautions and planning to prepare themselves and their families for the storm without regard to relocating for a game the day the storm is hitting.
