Right now I'd settle for not guaranteeing this year's salary to a guy who could have won 4 games if he did his job last year. Knowing us, he'll piss away week 1, get cut and we'll pay him the 6th most for doing nothing.

Then "we" (and I use that term loosely because I know how you, me, and all Panther fans feel) wouldn't deserve a Super Bowl.

I'd give them Gano for Keith McGill II.  28 years old 6'3 211 lbs cover corner.  Trying to be realistic because i could have easily said Obi (whos on IR) and Karl Joseph (starter) which aren't realistic unless we maybe through in a pick.

I personally would love somehow to throw a pick in their and Gano for Conley or Amerson but that is too far fetched.

We deserve a Super Bowl. Gano and his supporters do not. Does that seem right? I'd rather have the extra $$$ and swing with Butker and if he doesn't work our sign Novak or any of the others, including Gano who I'm pretty sure no real GM wants after last year and his failure again in preseason.

He's obviously still got the yips as we have seen in preseason so why continue with him? So dumb since he's priced so high. We dump Lee for Palardy for $0 in savings when Lee was #2 last year and Palardy was #30. We keep Gano who would save us $3M+ and was among the worst Ks last year who lost us 4 games. Heck, he may be the worst who wasn't replaced.

You're preaching to the choir.  We were 17-2 but the miss in the Super Bowl after a career of meh or less put him on shaky ground with me.  The miss in Denver was the standing 8 count.  The miss in New Orleans was night night nurse.  Everything sense has been nothing but a sick joke.  He must go.

He may very well be Brittany, he may very well not be.  You don't know me.

I hate it too but he's poison to this football team.  XP Seattle 2015, XP New Orleans 2016, Super Bowl 50, week 1 2016, less than 80% career, paid to be a top kicker.

He must go.  I will wish him well when that day (hopefully today) inevitably comes, but he must.

Fair enough... I'm sure if you saw Gano "and his stink" playing with sick kids at Levine children's hospital as many times as I have you would probably tone down the hatred a notch or two.

OMG, OMG, OMG, OMG we don't have the bestest Kicker in the league. This must be rectified. And I mean immediately. I demand All Pros at every position, and that includes the Kicker. And don't mention Palarday, cuz he is only a Punter. Punters don't count. Well, at least until Palarday does something stupid. Then he gots to go too.

I've pretty much resigned myself to the fact that we're actually going to go into the season carrying two fuging kickers. I almost wonder if Hurney even realizes that the kickoff spot has been moved up five yards rendering the previously rarely used kickoff specialist defunct.

This team watched teams plant us at the 18 all season last year thanks to the new touchback rule and still gleefully sent Graham out to blast the ball out of the back of the endzone and simply concede the field position battle

This team simply hates change

Definitely another step on the yellow brick road of insanity.  We're not in Kansas anymore.

This has to be the most a GM has ever done to try and secure a conditional 7th rounder by hoarding average kickers.

Even if Hurney wins he loses bc WHY?!!

This has to be a bet or a dare JR gave him to get the Full time GM gig.

Is it possible....that we kept Gano so that we don't have to eat his salary, understanding that the Raiders were at an impasse with Janikowski and would be calling soon? Thus, we are free of dead money, get a pick, and didn't cut him with nothing in return.

I don't like the prospect of Hurney hanging around but if he learned how to wheel and deal like that then we have a Riverboat Captain and Billy the Kid himself running the show.
