Gettleman wouldn't have signed him either. And that would be just as wrong. He was a relatively cheap upgrade at a spot we desperately need one .

Gettleman actually tried going for Barry Church. Sadly, that didn't happen, so they fell back to Mike Adams. It's not like he didn't try upgrading a position of need.

Gettleman wouldn't have signed Haden or ward though. These arent moves the Panthers make.. Regardless of GM. I don't like it but that's how it goes

It's unfortunate, a lot of fans are just like the Panthers management too... think the roster is good enough to win a SB... completely ignoring obvious weaknesses.
