Picking Armah made sense because he was more of that hybrid h-back that people actually do use. Line him up as a full back, line him up in the backfield to pick up a blitz, line him up as a TE, swing him out for a catch, etc etc.  It was very in-line with evolving the offense.

Yep. He just needs some time to learn the game.

People don't hate the moves, people hate the person making the moves.

I get a bout of terrets ever time I hear old you know who's name mentioned.  I have PTSD from his previous stint so anything he does causes an uncontrollable fit of rage just because it's him.    Please make him go away.

The thing about keeping Gano past week one is it guarantees his salary for the year.

So if a team trades for him after week one, it basically becomes like we're paying him to play for them.

Pretty sure other teams know this. Whether or not Hurney does, I couldn't say.

If player is traded, contract goes with trade, except signing bonus, which we're on the hook anyways.

Probably not since he's been out of the game for 5 years.

If I'm CAP I would just want to play. He is already 27 yrs old and any chance he ever signs a decent contract would depend on how well he performs on gameday and since he is always inactive it makes me wonder what he is thinking. I know he is signed through next year but I bet he wishes he could play.

Did they not watch the 4 interceptions he threw in his last start?

His best value is on the sideline with a headset, and teaching the 2 new guys the game/system. He may be just about done in this league, but he's been playing in the nfl (and doing a good job for the vast majority of it) since Kaaya was a 7th grader trying to figure out how his jock strap worked.

Now if Hurndog extends DA...I'm gonna be pissed.

3. then why draft a fb?

Yeah it seems odd that we would sign Darrell Young & Draft a fullback and then cut them both? I'd have to guess that signing Young was an insurance policy in case we didn't get CMC or he wasn't ready to help transform this offense (so we would have to rely more on a traditional power running game). With CMC we're going to more of a zone blocking scheme where a fullback isn't needed, and now that we know how ready he is to contribute it made having a true FB on the roster unnecessary. I think Armah is still valued because of his ability as an H-back.
